SURE laser measuring
An add-on for the SEVEN X CNC on PB4 plate rolls
SURE (Surface Uniformity & Radius Evaluation) is a laser measuring unit that travels on a rail beside the rolls and reads the plate without touching it.
Before rolling it finds both plate edges, which confirms the width and shows whether the plate lies in the centre of the machine. After each rolled section it reads the radius at the positions you choose along the roll. SURE then proposes a correction on the SEVEN X screen, and the operator accepts or edits it before the machine carries on.
