3D Pipe rolling or three-dimensional pipe rolling is the process of bending pipes into irregular shapes. The process ensures that manufacturers can join pipes of different sections together. It also helps pipelines avoid immovable obstacles when they are laid down.
There are several instances of 3D pipe rolling. Sometimes, pipes can be bent to form spirals. Bending within a single plane is usually easy. However, bending into 3D planes is complicated and requires the use of special machines, such as tube rolling machines.
